DL-DSU/CSU

The DCB DL DSU/CSU is a cost effective DSU/CSU for 56, 19.2 and 9.6 Kbps communications with Dataphone Digital Services (DDS) or equivalent services. The DL DSU/CSU complies with Bell system encoding, decoding, timing, interface and diagnostic standards. It will operate either point-to-point or multi-point. The DL DSU/CSU can also be used in line driver mode over customer owned cable.

All setup options and diagnostic testing can be selected with the LCD front panel display and a Network Management Port featured on the DCB DL DSU/CSU. Tests include digital loopback, line loopback, self test and test line. When Test Line is selected, the DL will communicate with the remote DL and check the integrity ofthe line between the DL DSU/CSUs.

The DL DSU/CSU uses the latest in LSI technology to offer better functionality than other discrete component implementations. LSI technology greatly reduces the DL DSU/ CSU power requirements while substantially increasing reliability. Compensation circuitry tunes the DL DSU/CSU to the optimum performance level for your installation insuring better performance even under marginal operating conditions. Line loss capabilities surpass telephone company requirements by 6 dB for reliable data transmission, even when other DSU/CSUs will not work.
